Description
An activation experiment has been performed at the IFIN-HH Tandem
accelerator (Bucharest) for obtaining information about the behaviour of
fusion cross section at below barrier energies. The acquisition system was based on TNT digitizers and should face heavy loads at the beginning of the measurements. Special algorithms have been developed to account for the dead time and they will be described. The dead time problems made the data analysis more tedious than expected. Preliminary results at the barrier agree with conventional model calculations.
