DESCRIPTION:iThemba LABS is hosting the 2nd International African Symposi
 um on Exotic Nuclei (IASEN-2024) which will be held from 9-13 December 2
 024.\n\nRegistrations are closed\n \n\nAbstract Submission\nAbstract subm
 issions have closed\n\nThis Symposium is jointly organized by iThemba LAB
 S\, South Africa and Joint Institute for Nuclear Research (JINR)\, Dubna\,
  Russia.\n\nThe Symposium will be held at the Krystal Beach Hotel\, Gordon
 s Bay (near  Cape Town\, South Africa).\n\nThe Symposium will be devoted 
 to the investigation of nuclei in extreme states\, in particular\, at the 
 limits of nuclear stability (from very light neutron- and proton-rich to 
 superheavy nuclei.)\n\nThe Topics to be discussed are:\n• Production of 
 Exotic Nuclei / Rare Ion Beams\n• Fundamental Research with Radio-activ
 e Ion Beams (RIBs) \n• Applications with RIBs \n• Nuclear Reactions 
 & Astrophysics\n• Nuclear Structure \n• Isotopes in Nuclear Medicine\
 n\nThe program will include oral and poster presentations of contributed p
 apers.\n\nLimited financial support is available for South African student
 s and scientists. Please indicate should you wish to apply for such suppor
 t.\n\nThe Organizing Committee encourages the submission of oral and poste
 r contributions in the indicated scientific areas. The Organizing Committe
 e\, in consultation with the International Advisory Board\, will invite pl
 enary talks and select contributions for the parallel and poster sessions.
