DESCRIPTION:Speakers: Marvin Flores (University of the Witwatersrand)\nThe
LHC has collected data for more than eight years\, but no clear signal fo
r new physics has emerged so far. This is surprising because there is over
whelming evidence that the Standard Model must be extended. One such exten
sion is SUSY. Here\, new scalar and fermions at the TeV scale are predicte
d but the null results at the LHC have ruled out large region of its param
eter space. However\, many searches assume that large missing transverse e
nergy is present in the signal. In the so-called stealth SUSY scenarios\,
new light almost degenerate fermion/boson pairs with weak scale supersymme
tric masses are introduced which result in significantly reduced missing t
ransverse energy. In this talk we want to investigate the discovery potent
ial of such stealth SUSY models at the LHC. We reconstruct the decay produ
cts by using a large-radius jet containing a high transverse momentum phot
on\, which has not been used in experiments so far. Requirements on the ev
ent topology\, and use of substructure variables result in orders of less
 background than signal.\n\nhttps://indico.tlabs.ac.za/event/75/contributio
