The ANSTT2 will be a 3 day workshop to be held at iThemba LABS, Cape Town to focus on metrology and applications, environmental measurements and nuclear structure studies at iThemba LABS.  This follows on from the ANSTT meeting held in 2018.

Collaborations both UK-Africa and inter-Africa will again be at the forefront of the workshop, including Memoranda of Understanding.

The workshop will be funded by the UK Science and Technology Facility Council and organised under the auspices of the University of Brighton in collaboration with iThemba LABS.  The IAEA sponsored selected delegates from Africa.

Topics to be discussed include:

• Metrology and applications

• Environmental measurements

• Nuclear structure studies

• Collaborations, UK-Africa, inter-Africa

• Future experimental programmes at iThemba

There will be ample opportunity for informal discussions and abstracts for presentations on any of the above topics are welcome. Deadline for submission through the website is 15th February 2019.

There will be a small workshop fee to cover social activities.   The fee will be  ZAR 500.00 for participants and a discounted rate of ZAR 250.00 for students.  Accompanying persons fee is ZAR 200.00 for the attendance of the welcome function.

A two day SAINTS@tlabs workshop for young researchers will be held prior to the workshop on  14-15 March in collaboration with the SAINTS programme.  "Primers on Metrology, Environmental Radioactivity Measurements and Gamma-ray Spectrum Analysis with RadWare"
