DESCRIPTION:This is a satellite meeting that will be held prior to ANSTT2\
 , a 3 day workshop to be held at iThemba LABS\, Cape Town to focus on me
 trology and applications\, environmental measurements and nuclear structur
 e studies at iThemba LABS.  This follows on from the ANSTT meeting held
  in 2018.\n\nTarget group:  Masters and Doctoral students in Nuclear/Appl
 ied Nuclear Physics in the early stage of their projects.\n \nWorkshop Ou
 tline:  \n\nTheme 1: guidance on how to determine the uncertainties asso
 ciated with measurement. \n\nTheme 2: the basics of environmental radioac
 tivity measurements. \n\nTheme 3: A hands-on introduction to gamma-ray sp
 ectrum analysis with RadWare. \n\nStudents will also have an opportunity 
 to informally engage a panel of researchers to get advice on matters (touc
 hing on themes 1-3 and more) relevant to their own research.\n\nOrganizers
