Participants are free to arrange accommodation according to their preferences. Somerset West offers a wide range of convenient options, including guesthouses, self‑catering apartments, and several well‑established hotels, all within easy reach of the workshop venue. Additional accommodation is available in nearby coastal towns such as Gordon’s Bay and Strand, as well as in Stellenbosch, which offers numerous hotels and guesthouses in a vibrant university town setting (approximately 30–40 minutes’ drive). Cape Town is also an option for those wishing to combine the workshop with a city stay (approximately 45–60 minutes’ drive, traffic permitting).
Our keynote speakers will be accommodated at the Krystal Beach Hotel in Gordon’s Bay, and daily transport between this hotel and the workshop venue will be provided. Please let us know if you intend to stay at the same hotel so we can include you in our transport logistics to make the workshop more sustainable.
iThemba LABS also offers on‑site accommodation, which will be basic, dormitory‑style accommodation in a shared room.
