Delegates to MUON2018

iThemba LABS (Laboratory for Accelerator-Based Sciences) is pleased to host the next International MUON Workshop in Cape Town, South Africa from 1 – 5 April 2019. This event is being held under the auspices of the Muon Group of ALICE, the SA-CERN Program and iThemba LABS.

A comprehensive scientific program, encompassing a full range of topics and activities related to the Muon Spectrometer, will be covered. Delegates and accompanying persons will also enjoy an interesting social program.

Accommodation will be available at the Protea Hotel by Marriott, Cape Town Waterfront Breakwater Lodge, a hotel at the doorstep of the pulsating Cape Town Waterfront and about 30 km from iThemba LABS. A block booking with special rates have been made and all delegates are requested to make their own reservations directly with this hotel by not later than 31 January 2019.

The registration fee of R 5 500 will include the conference fees, the opening function, lunches during the workshop, the conference dinner and the daily transport between the hotel and the venue at iThemba LABS.

An excursion which can be reserved optionally will take the delegates and accompanying persons on a scenic trip to view the Penguins at Boulders beach followed by a visit of the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.

Note that Papers for oral presentation will be selected by the Scientific Committee.

The deadline for early registration and financial support (Students registered in South Africa only) is 15 February 2019. Online registration will be available from 24 December 2018.
